An excellent article

Go to the First Things website to read a very good article.

Good article, Father. Have you yet read Dominus Est by Bishop Athanasius Schneider? I understand the book is excellent, and that His Excellency makes a great case for the traditional method of reception of Holy Communion. If you have any further thoughts on this matter, I would be interested to read them.

No, I haven't read his work. I'll have to look it up.

Excellent article, but when I was reading the comments I came up with a question. I completely agree with the need to receive the Eucharist on the tongue, but in the author's scenario, how does that good & necessary thing compare with being obedient to the Magisterium? Where does it become a pride issue where doing what I know to be the correct thing become deciding that I know better than the Bishop? (Pride & Obedience being two things I work on constantly) What do you think?

You can always receive on the tongue. It is your right to do so.
I as a priest cannot refuse to give communion in the hand. That would be taking matters into my own hands.
