“Even the priest makes mistakes while celebrating Mass.” A Catholic culture knows that the Mass is the most important, most sacred thing that there could ever be; therefore, everything should be practically perfect, right? But, try as they might, priests are human, and they make mistakes. Italians tend to be easygoing (for the most part), and when they see that someone is doing their best, they will excuse unintentional mistakes.
