Today we have a new president. On the one hand I am very worried about his view of the world and religion. On the other hand the greatness of America has always come from its people and their love for liberty. Our Founding Fathers sought to limit the power of the government. People need to love liberty and take responsibility for their own lives.
In regard to religion: Can anyone remember the religious views of Eisenhower or Hoover or Wilson? thankfully we do not look to politicians for religious leadership. Politicians are always bound be expediency and survival.
America has never been too friendly to Catholics. Antagonism towards Catholicism is nothing new, so I am not too worried about it. We strive to make this world a better place, but our true home is in heaven.
